Wooden Mate Gourd (Jujube)

A mate cup turned from jujube wood, with a warm natural grain that makes every piece slightly different. Light, pleasant to hold and a simple way into drinking mate from wood.

Before first use: Wooden gourds need curing. Fill it with used, wet yerba and hot (not boiling) water, leave it for 24 hours, then empty it and let it dry completely. Repeat once if the wood still tastes raw.

Care: Empty it after every session and let it dry upside down, open to the air. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking.

Pairs well with: a short bombilla such as the Bombilla Cuchara (15,5cm) for the small size, or a 19 cm bombilla for the large one.
