Selecta Guampa Palo Santo 120 ml

A Paraguayan guampa made from palo santo wood with an aluminium sleeve, from Selecta. The traditional cup for tereré, and fine for hot mate too. About 120 to 150 ml.

• The aluminium sleeve protects the wood and keeps the outside dry when it is filled with ice water.
• The cup Paraguayans actually use for tereré, every day of the summer.

Before first use: Wooden gourds need curing. Fill it with used, wet yerba and hot (not boiling) water, leave it for 24 hours, then empty it and let it dry completely. Repeat once if the wood still tastes raw.

Care: Empty it after every session and let it dry upside down, open to the air. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking.

Pairs well with: a Paraguayan yerba such as Kurupi Menta Boldo, a jug of ice water, and a long bombilla.
